Audi Takes The Fast Lane With the A3

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Just how fast can you say 2006 Audi A3 3.2 Quattro S Line? Not quite that fast, right? But despite this vehicle having a name just so hard to pronounce, let me tell you one very important thing: this one can speed by you so fast you never knew what happened.

The 2006 Audi A3 3.2 Quattro S Line is actually a version of the main Audi A3 line. The Audi A3 is manufactured by the Volkswagen AG and it has been produced and sent right out to the market since 1996 which is ten years ago. According to experts in the field, the Audi A3 has been built as a hatchback that could hold three or five doors. It is a compact car but has been continuously mistaken as a luxury vehicle. it has been built using the FF AWD Volkswagen A platform. The BMW 1 Series and the Alfa Romeo 147 are two of its competition in the market.

Despite the 2006 Audi A3 3.2 Quattro S Line being a compact vehicle that holds quality Audi performance parts, this vehicle has sure a lot of things to offer. And because compact vehicles seem to be the in thing in the industry, the 2006 Audi A3 3.2 Quattro S Line is sure to bring in more sales for the company.

The base price for the 2006 Audi A3 3.2 Quattro S Line is some $33,980. However, if you do choose to own the version of this vehicle that has got more options and more features, you would have to shell out a great $42,150 at that. But this amount would be giving you various accessories and add ons like a navigation system, a satellite radio for entertainment, a dual sunroof created by the Open Sky System, leather seats, alloy wheels plus the 2006 Audi A3 3.2 Quattro S Line’s cold weather package.

The price may be too much for an ordinary person out in the market for a vehicle to buy. However, if you are looking for a compact vehicle that could speed through roads like most sports vehicles, then this one would be it.

5 Ways To Sell A Japanese Used Vehicle

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

Japanese cars are renowned for their quality. Some of the top used Japanese cars for sale are Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Fuji Heavy Industries (Subaru), Suzuki and Daihatsu. Many surveys have shown that most buyers shop online in purchasing their next used car. In this article we will discuss five key points on selling your car online.

1. Surf the web

The internet has many choices on finding the right site to advertise your vehicle. Choose a website that is popular and has a high ranking. Do choose a site that specializes in your make and model. Select a site that will continuously show case your ad. And last but not least find a site that is reasonable in fees.

2. Your ad

Using correct and distinct terms to describe your car will make your ad concise. This will attract the buyer to further reading your ad. Use key phrases and solid facts. State the year, make, model, milage, and maintenance records. Mention any non-standard added features and improvements. And also be precise about the price you expect and contact details.

3. Quality Photo’s

Do photograph your car in sunlight. Take different angle view shots of your car. Make sure before you photograph your car, that it is clean and washed from inside and out. Take pictures of the inside interior and any special features like tires or hub-cabs. Do have a flattering backdrop for your car when taking the pictures.

4. Inquires

Be prepared to answer questions, always keep a standard and basic list about your car on hand, near the phone and computer. Also make sure you can give out online resources to the buyer on your car. Choose specific times and dates for car viewing and showing.

If dealing with people outside your area, make sure the buyer knows it’s their responsibility to pick up or make arrangements on getting the car.

5. Protecting your investment and self

Never hand over your vehicle till you are paid in full. Verify the buyer’s information to make sure your not getting scammed. Find you out which method of payment is safest. Always protect your privacy, never give out more than you have to.

If you are in habit of changing to new models as brand new then I would highly recommend Japanese Makers. For more than two decades the impression of lesser safety in Japanese brands have been shifted to equally same standards as its German or American counterparts.

With these tips, you will hopefully find your self on the right track to selling your vehicle online.

How to Get a Cheap Car Insurance - Your 7 Steps to a Good Deal

Sunday, April 13th, 2008

Are you wondering how you can purchase cheap car insurance? Worry no more! Here you’ll get the seven easy steps to getting the cheapest quotes and the best deals available. Use one or use all, each of them is sure to lower your rates.

The cheapest car insurance is not necessarily the best auto insurance. But, as car insurance is mandatory for registering and driving your car, it is necessary to purchase insurance for your car. The next seven tips will help you choose, if not the cheapest, then the best deal:

1) Compare auto insurance quotes online - insurance companies save money on man power with online quotes and purchase, some of that money goes back to the client and makes your insurance cheaper. There are many companies providing instant quotes. Depending on your auto (and make sure you provide honest answers) or the number of cars you want to insure, you’ll get a preliminary estimation. Don’t take this sum as the final quote and don’t choose the cheapest quote without analyzing the coverage offered in the insurance policy.

2) A clean credit history ensures significant discounts. To put it simple: car insurance gets cheaper if the owner (that’s you) is a reliable payer. However, most insurance companies will have an option of “bad credit quotes”. If you have a bad credit history, don’t waste your time (your time is also valuable) on the companies that don’t give you this option.

3) To get an advantageous insurance it is recommendable that you put al the cars you own under a single policy. Some insurance companies offer very good discounts for multiple cars insurance policy.

4) There are many underinsured or uninsured drivers. You’ll need coverage in case of an accident caused by an uninsured driver. Make sure your insurance covers such mishaps.

5) Choose the insurance that fits your financial possibilities and the condition of the car. Once your financial status improves or the vehicle deteriorates, you should update the status of your policy.

6) If you plan on moving soon, choose a short-term car insurance plan - we recommend a one year car insurance. Insurance plans vary from country to country and even from state to state.

7) Make your vehicle as safe as possible both in terms of driver and passenger safety (seat belts, air cushions etc.) and is terms of theft (a car alarm an immobilizer etc.) - this will lower the premiums, thus providing for a cheap insurance plan.

Applying For Truck Permits

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

Applying for truck permits can be a big hassle, especially if you don’t know the right place to go to, and the rules and regulations of getting a license issued in your name.

There is a lot of paper work involved, and you have to comply with many legal formalities. Truck drivers and heavy duty vehicle owners seek companies and organizations that can assist them to get permits issued in their name. Hence, as the demand and supply function behaves, we see many agencies that provide this service, popularly referred to as a truck permit service.

The agencies providing the truck permit service have to comply with the rules and regulations laid down by the authorized body.

Most of the companies provide the following services to the clients looking for truck permits.

Interstate Truck line Permits - The organizations assist individuals to acquire interstate Truck permits. This is necessary for heavy duty vehicles running on highways and carrying goods.

Temporary Truck Permits - the formalities, involved in getting a valid license are many, therefore, it takes a couple of week or sometimes even moths, to get a permanent license. Truck permit service providers help in getting temporary trucks permits issued in their client’s name.

SSRS or Single State Registrations - As the governing authority may demand, the trucks operating in particular areas have to comply with Single State Registration regulations.

Compliance with FMCSA/MC rules and regulations - All forms have to be duly filled out, and it is to be ensured that the heavy duty vehicle operator has complied with all FMCSA laws.

Driver’s Examination and Licensing Programs - The truck permit service providers play an important role in this aspect, they guide the drivers through out the examination program, and ensure, that a license is granted to them.

Drugs and Alcohol testing programs. - This is one of the most important aspects of the licensing program for the drivers.

Road Taxes, heavy duty vehicle operating permissions. - Before truck permits are granted, all road taxes and similar dues have to be cleared and heavy duty vehicle operating permission is required from the concerned authorities.

Another factor to consider when applying for a truck permit is the local, state, and federal fees involved. Many times you may be better off registering for the permit via another route so as to avoid the excessive fees that some areas charge.

Whatever type of truck permit you are applying for though be sure and complete all requirements so you do not get yourself in legal trouble.

How Forex Affects Us All

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

You may not be involved in Forex trading directly, but the fact remains that you are affected by what occurs in foreign exchange trading every day.

Here are some examples of how this constant flow of currency trading makes an impact on your daily life.

Perhaps the most obvious impact is that currency trading makes an impact on the price you pay for goods and services.

Should you happen to live in a country where the comparative value of your currency falls in comparison to that of other countries, you could find yourself paying a higher price for items that you are used to purchasing at a relatively inexpensive rate.

The reason is that the rate of exchange for imported goods would have changed and chances are the brunt of that change will be passed on to you, the consumer.

These goods may include anything from petroleum products to underwear.

Another way that changes in trading currency impact you is the simple ability to obtain goods and services.

A severe enough change in the rate of exchange could mean that it is no longer viable for certain types of business commerce to continue.

The result will be that you may find that some items that you are used to purchasing regularly will at first become much scarcer and carry a higher price tag, but ultimately no longer be available to you at all.

This will require you to change your spending habits and settle for other goods that you may consider being of lesser quality.

An extreme example would be if you were no longer able to get the imported car parts you need for your vehicle and had to turn to either generic replacements or used parts.

Your investments may also be impacted as well.

While the stock exchange is a totally different process from currency exchange, the fact of the matter is that they do impact one another.

Adverse changes in the rate of exchange can mean your stocks may slow down their process of earning money for you, especially if the stocks happen to be investments in retail companies or any entity that relies heavily on foreign trade.

Changes in your portfolio of course make a difference to your overall financial health, and may especially hurt if your stock portfolio happens to also be your form of retirement plan.

Many people do not give the trading of currency a second thought. Nevertheless, this process that is in a constant flow every day does reach out and touch the lives of each of us in some way. We may find ourselves paying higher prices for goods or services that we are used to enjoying.

In some cases, we may have to substitute for a lesser product, due to lack of availability. We may see our overall financial health impacted, even to the point of wondering about our future and retirement. Keeping up with Forex trading is a good idea for all of us.

It should be noted Forex trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors.

There Are Thousands Of Used Tractors To Choose From At Mascus Online

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

The world’s largest dealer sales forecourt is open for business

You can buy anything online these days - and that includes used tractors. More and more companies in construction and agriculture are turning to the Internet to source anything from tractors and lawnmowers to excavators and harvesters. “The Net is the world’s largest depot forecourt,” says Robert Tate, UK and Ireland Regional Manager of Mascus, an online marketplace for used equipment.

Resistance to change always takes time to overcome. Customers still to want to kick the tires and cast a critical eye over the engine before making a significant investment in something like a tractor. According to Robert, their fears are unfounded. “The Internet is built on trust and transparency, the more honest information the seller provides, the more likely a buyer is to make an enquiry. The next time they will buy without viewing!”

Robert believes that buying a tractor on the Internet is little different to handing over cash in person, but with the added advantage of vast choice. “The common misconception people have before they go online is that they will have to make a blind purchase. This is simply not true,” Robert argues. “Sellers can post up to six images on our site, as well as specs and their own comments. If potential buyers don’t like what they see, there are plenty of other tractors to choose from.” This is the key to the success of online marketplaces.

Mascus currently list over 2000 used tractors from all over Europe on its website, from those under 40 horsepower to heavyweights exceeding 200hp. All the major brands are there, including John Deere, New Holland, Case IH, Massey Ferguson and Ford. “It only takes a couple of clicks to find exactly what you are looking for,” Rob says.

An online marketplace like Mascus.com is also perfect for anyone selling a used tractor. “Setting up a want ad to reach thousands of buyers across Europe is quick and easy,” he says. “The market for used tractors and agricultural machinery is growing fast - particularly in Eastern Europe, where EU farming grants specify that old equipment is updated. Back load transport is cheap, so taking advantage of great deals in other countries makes sense.”

Mascus, founded in Finland, is expanding quickly, too. The site is currently available in 17 languages and currencies. Rob and his colleagues at Mascus know that bringing buyers and sellers together on line makes sense for everyone involved: “The market for used machinery is huge. Thanks to the Internet, everyone’s a winner.”

Robert Tate - UK and Ireland Regional Manager of Mascus, an online marketplace for http://www.mascus.com used equipment and machinery, from http://www.mascus.com/browse.asp?nav=4&catalog=tractors used tractors to diggers and trailers plus much more. mailto:robert.tate@mascus.com

Chrysler 300C SRT8: The Fusion of Luxury and Performance

Friday, April 4th, 2008

Full sized, rear wheel drive luxury is back in vogue. Thanks to the introduction of the Chrysler 300C, consumers have a choice that goes beyond the dated Lincoln Town Car or the expensive BMW 7 Series. With the release of the 300C, Chrysler is doing its part in revolutionizing full size car performance as the 300C is edgy, luxurious, and in the case of the SRT8 model, extremely fast. Read on to learn how you can maximize the performance of your Chrysler 300C SRT8 with a pair of trusty, potent aftermarket enhancements.

Three decades after the 300 designation was retired, Chrysler resurrected the 300 name and placed it on a shortened version of its big LH sedan. The 300M - as it was called — was praised for its smooth style and luxurious appointments, however the V6 powered, front wheel drive model failed to live up to the vaunted ancestry of the original 300 series built by Chrysler. Thus, the car was considered only a 300 in name, not in substance.

Fortunately for Chrysler, the merger of Daimler-Benz with the Chrysler Corporation in 1998 was to bring about the sharing of important technologies as in blending the best of German and American engineering into several domestically produced vehicles. One of the first models to benefit from this new relationship was the 2005 Chrysler 300C, a car that successfully fuses an American chassis and design with Mercedes suspension, steering, and transmission. Indeed, if you owned an earlier generation Mercedes E Class, many of the components that originated on that model found its way over to the all new 300C.

Soon after the 300C’s debut, Chrysler decided to offer a top of the line performance model that could rocket from 0 to 60 in just under 5 seconds. The Chrysler 300C SRT8 — as it is called — is powered by a 6.1L Hemi V8 producing 425 horses and 420 lb.-ft of torque, enough power to beat out the athletic Pontiac GTO, while lagging two tenths of a second behind the venerable Cadillac CTS-V. Of course, you have to pay an extra twelve thousand for the Caddy, but if you want to beat the CTS-V you only need to add on a pair of aftermarket enhancements to give your SRT8 a chance of winning.

Yes, the aftermarket crowd is hot in pursuit of whatever enhancements are available to improved performance for their Chryslers. Popular with the SRT8 set are performance exhaust systems and cold air intake systems. By combining the two, 300C owners can gain an extra 30 horsepower and as much as an additional 36 lb.-ft of torque!

Two manufacturers, Dub Air and Airaid, have developed performance air intake systems for the 300C SRT8 while Magnaflow Exhaust has captured the imagination of 300C SRT8 enthusiasts by developing an exhaust system that is designed to outlast your car. Each product helps to deliver more horsepower, improved torque, and the race car tone that can truly help your ride sound great and get you noticed.

Best of all, a fully enhanced Chrysler 300C SRT8 can beat the Cadillac CTS-V and you will still have more than ten thousand dollars left over. Not a bad deal for a car that competes against a Caddy that comes equipped with a Corvette engine!
